Emme Hall's Uganda Medical Mission Trip
Donation protected
Over the holidays, we watched old home videos. When I was two, I often walked around with a stethoscope around my neck--listening to the heartbeat of my baby dolls, taking their temperatures and providing comfort.
Well, I’m still walking around with a stethoscope around my neck and this summer, July 28-August 11, I will be joining a team of Southwest Missouri pediatricians, internal medicine and family practice physicians as well as dentists, optometrists, nurses and nursing students on a week-long medical mission trip to provide much needed and delayed health care to approximately 6,000 Ugandans. We will be serving the Watoto Children's Ministry and neighboring villages. Our patients will mainly be school children, mothers and infants.
Watoto rescues orphaned children throughout Uganda, and provides them a permanent childhood home until they reach 18 years of age. Through God's provision, Watoto is able to provide food, shelter, health care, and education to these kids, all while demonstrating the love of Jesus.
I have always wanted to have the opportunity to go on a medical mission trip and felt called to join this team when I heard about it.
Over the last few years I have worked as a CNA in long-term care, infusion and now med/surg. I am really excited to use my skills working alongside other talented heath care professionals and with Watoto patients who are desperate for medical services. It’s a lot of money for a college student and nursing major at Missouri State University. But, I know that this trip will change my life forever as well as the lives of our Watoto patients.
Thank you for the support you’ve always shown me and thank you for considering a donation, of any amount, to my mission trip. You can also Venmo or just send a check. Our team also has several fundraisers coming up for medical supplies. Hope to see you at one of our events! P.S. All donations go directy to my mission trip. The gofundme site might say Wren, but she set this all up for me. :)
