Emmett Michael Norman
Emmett's story... Emmett Michael Norman was born on 12/1/19 with 2 different CHD's. Pulmonary Artresia with MAPCAs and a VSD. He also has 22q11 deletion and a cleft palate. Emmett has spent most of his short life down at Children's in Minneapolis and has had more tests done than we can count. He had a G/J feeding tube placed when he was just 6 weeks old and originally, they had been told his heart would be repaired anywhere between 3-9 months of age. After his heart cath/bronchoscopy last week, they discovered his heart was worse off than they thought. On 3/2, he'll have a tracheotomy and will live with a trach until his lungs are stronger and this will require that Emmett has 24-hour care. They're also preparing to have his first open heart surgery to repair his heart in a few weeks too.
His family has been so strong and brave throughout these past few months. His older siblings (Elizabeth & Elijah) are doing their best to understand what is going on. They miss their mom & little brother a lot while they're at the hospital but Tandra & Matt have been doing their best to make sure their lives remain as "normal" as possible. They are all warriors and continue to fight right alongside Emmett!
For those that know Tandra, they know that she is the most generous and thoughtful person. She is always looking for ways to care for those around her and bless others.
