Hi, I'm Maggie and I've set up this gofundme for Adam whitmees daughter Emmy . Please read Emmy's story written by Dominic Creighton - it says it all :-
⭐️ PLEASE READ ⭐️
Imagine you are 9 years old … a time of magic where you don’t have a care in the world … the biggest stresses in life are what you’re going to wear that day, what lessons you’re going to enjoy or dislike, and what friends your going to speak to or fall out with.
Now imagine you find out at 9 years old you have cancer. You are thrust into a situation you can’t comprehend. You receive 7 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. You are stabbed with countless needles and go through constant tests. You are ill constantly from the treatment spending a lot of time in bed. You lose your hair. You don’t see your friends and the life you once knew now is a distant memory to this new life of spending every other day in the hospital.
Imagine you are told after those 7 months that you are so close to being able to ring the bell and continue your life back to normality. The excitement of seeing your friends, growing your hair back and picking that first outfit on your first day back to school.
Now imagine you are about to ring the bell when you are stopped. To be told you still have cancer. And now you’re going to have to go through another 7 months of treatment. All those little glimpses of hope you had have now gone and you will continue living the hell of the last year. In and out of hospital, feeling unwell, in constant pain, being prodded with needles and going through terrifying tests and treatments.
Imagine at 9 years old you was questioning whether you was going to die ….
Now imagine that 9 year old is your daughter ….
Imagine you could make a difference to that little girls journey … well …. you can …. by donating below to little Emmy who may not even be home this Christmas as she goes through more gruelling treatment to try and cure an absolutely terrible disease.
Times are hard and we all have our own lives and agendas. But one thing that makes us human is compassion and the willingness to help others. And I see no greater gift at Christmas than the gift of kindness in a families time of need. Even the smallest amount can make a huge difference to brave little Emmy. Thank you in advance.
