Emory Health Against Human Trafficking Trip
Donation protected
Emory Health Against Human Trafficking (EHAHT) is a student organization within the Emory University School of Medicine dedicated to addressing the global impacts of human trafficking. Each summer, a team of medical students travels to Chiang Saen, Thailand, to work at Ban Kru Nam, a home for children who were previously trafficked or are at high risk of being trafficked and sexually exploited. Physicians and students perform health check-ups, address basic medical problems, and conduct health education sessions for the children, staff, and adults in the surrounding community. The trip has been halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this will be our first trip back to Thailand since 2019!
To make this trip possible, we need to purchase medical supplies, medications, and health maintenance items along with providing the cost of travel for our accompanying translators. As medical students, we will be funding our own trips, so any money donated to EHAHT will be put towards making the medical experience of the children we see worthwhile.
Thank you everyone for your support!
(Please keep in mind that EHAHT is a non-profit organization under the 501(c)(3) Emory University EIN 58-0566256)
