Empire 13s Clean Street Initiative

Empire 13 is kicking off the Clean Street Initiative: Rebuilding Our Communities Infrastructure part of Empire 13 Boots to the Streets Campaign: End Environmental Racism: State Street clean up..
Empire 13s ROCI Initiative will drastically reduce the everyday trash build up on State Street in East St. Louis. Belleville has City trash cans all along Main Street that turns into State Street. Trash build up in the city isn’t because that’s how we want it, it’s because of lack of resources.
One of the main reasons there is constant trash on the side walks is the lack of infrastructural city street trash cans and regular trash pick ups. With accessible disposal methods all along state street the trash reduction would be significant, and this isn’t a complain post it’s a community action post for direct and immediate change.
The community is calling for change and together we have the power to bring change to our streets and this is a direct way to effect systemic change in the community and show and raise awareness to the state and federal government the disparities the black communities face and for them to take action while still being and bringing the change we need.
We are asking for donations of a $1 or more to help purchase 20 City style trash cans and 10 3 in 1 recycling bins that Empire 13 will maintain until the state or federal government steps up and creates the city trash pick up crew our petition has been calling for since we started our BTTS Campaign.
