Employees of The UPS Store Placida-Cape Haze

Hi! I'm Sarah Hill, the owner of The UPS Store in Placida/Cape Haze.
You may have never heard of our location until Hurricane Ian - our employees live in the surrounding area of Placida/Cape Haze. This is in Southwest Florida, near some barrier islands.
If you ever walk into our store, you'll notice that you're greeted with smiles, people that care, and an overall family environment. If you're a repeat or local customer, you'll likely be greeted by name and asked a question about what you've been up to lately - we are a unique location due to the employees. When we opened our doors nine years ago, we made sure our most significant investment was in our people because they are the heartbeat of your business! Our employees are family to us!
On September 28th, Hurricane Ian rocked our community. It destroyed the homes of many; it took the lives of many! We are thankful that we all survived the storms, but our employees' homes have all been damaged. These damages come along with high deductibles. They range from $2000 - $5000 each.
We are working together to assist our employees to ease the burden of rebuilding. The expenses of tarps, generators, extra fuel, etc., on top of all of the deductibles, to get the repairs started on their home is overwhelming. There is relief help out there, but it's not immediate - and they don't have cell service or reliable wifi to apply for it right now :(. All of the other bills haven't stopped coming in. The attitudes remain positive; they are all thankful they have a home to repair.
If you have it in your heart to contribute, I promise you that every one of our associates would be beyond grateful for anything contributed. Bryan and I will ensure that this gets split evenly between the four employees that own a home that works for us!
Thank you,
Sarah & Bryan Hill
