Hello, my name is Niaja Ray I am from New York and I'm creating this gofundme for my extremely kind and extremely smart friend Abdoulie Ndong, he's had a very difficult life since the passing of both his parents he is only 19 and he carries the burden of responsibility to take care of his very young siblings. Please continue to read, Because this is his story:

My name is abdoulie Ndong I’m from the Gambia found in the western part of Africa in a small village called tujereng I live with my younger siblings currently.

I am 19 years old . So sad to tell you about my parents who died when we were very young And it has lead me to be a drop out from school because no one can afford to pay my school fees . Life get harder and harder everyday so I become the care taker of the family and I started going to the forest to cut some firewoods and sell them to earn a small living with my family and it’s so risky because it’s not safe and it’s against the law of the country (deforestation) so anyone who is caught in that act is been sent to jail or prison. Getting food is a problem to us now but we managed because God knows better and he is the provider . I also need education for I and my siblings or if possible only my siblings because it’s the most powerful weapon that you can used to changed the world as said by Nelson Mandela , in short I need education because I want to change my life story and family background and help my brothers to live a better life than following my footsteps of going to the forest to cut firewood which is too risky . If I complete my studies , I can be engaged in something better and earn good salaries where I will help my brothers to be in school to learn and become something better tomorrow. And, of course, the money raised can be used for our food and schooling too if possible.we also need education to have a chance at a better future, school shouldn't be just a dream for us, Therefore, the goal is set higher and may also need to be increased over time depending on how things go. yes, there are many people out there who need help, but you have to start somewhere.
