Offering Value – A virtual tour of Victoria, BC
Please help me through these difficult times as I recreate my tour guide business
We are all affected by this horrible pandemic in one or another. Some business more than others. For me, as a sole proprietor, and entrepreneur I was counting on this year being a fabulous year for tourism on Vancouver Island. I leased a 12 seater van, revamped my website and had many tours booked till the end of September, but that all changed in March 2020 because of Covid19. I had to refund all the tours that had been booked, and my business has had no more bookings and no income. My expenses remain the same and getting out of my leases was next to impossible. I have no source of income and cannot find work. The Canadian government on a provincial and federal level, has offered grants and loans to small businesses to stay afloat. However, I do not qualify as a sole proprietor. This financial help is only made available to corporations. Being an entrepreneur for most of my life, I took my love of tourism and am reinventing myself by creating virtual tours and videos. I am asking for your help as I navigate through this new learning curve. Your contribution will help me with my day to day living expenses, as I develop my new skills in videography. Please help me stay afloat financially as I make this new enterprise viable. I hope that within a year, tourism will resume and EV tours will again thrive, providing visitors with wonderful private tours.

More about me and EV Tours: let me introduce myself, I am Elizabeth Vago, and I live in Southern Vancouver Island, BC. Out of the love of Vancouver Island, I created and ran EvTours a private tour guiding service for the past 10 years. I offer tours in English, Spanish, and Hebrew. I speak some French and Hungarian as well. Since Covid19 changed our world, the tourism and hospitality industry has suffered immeasurable losses. Unexpectedly my private tour guide business in Victoria, BC completely ceased. With refunded tours, no bookings, and no income, life has become very difficult.
I am creating virtual tours of communities in Victoria and Vancouver Island, for people to enjoy from the comfort of their own home. I am teaching myself new skills to achieve this, filming nature trails, city harbours, and coastal communities. My goal is to have a library of virtual tours of Victoria, BC and Vancouver Island.
As a token of my appreciation for your support, I am offering you this video I made of Victoria and it's attractions.
Please feel free to share this GoFundMe page with your friends and family.
When life returns to normal, I do hope you will come visit beautiful Victoria. I would like to extend another offer for my total appreciation and support. In the future, when travel resumes, you will receive a credit for your live tour for the amount of the contribution you are making now.
Your support right now will make a very big difference in my life during this time of adjustment due to COVID19
My new business plan is taking shape. I am making and offering videos to promote Victoria, BC as a tourist destination and to local businesses to help their online presence with videos. I am teaching myself new skills to achieve this, filming nature trails, city harbours, and coastal communities. As you know, it is important to love the work you do. I love making videos and hope to get good at it. Your contribution will help me develop my new skill in videography, to purchase some equipment, and to help me stay afloat financially as I develop this new enterprise.
A new way of travel is from the comfort of your home, through virtual tours. I am a professional tour guide, offering you real value by providing you with a Virtual Tour of Victoria, BC created for you. Vancouver Island with Victoria's, beautiful and historical port city, known as the City of Gardens, and its coastal communities is a fabulous place to visit. Here is the video I made, to introduce you as a visitor to Victoria. It is a token of appreciation for your contribution to help me get through 2020 the year of Covid19 and the year my tour guide business in Victoria, BC and my peace of mind ceased.
