Empower Artists with Ernest Perry, Jr. Fund
Donation protected
On behalf of the family of Ernest Perry, Jr. we are raising money in the name of our late father to launch an impact fund to benefits the arts. As a professional actor his contribution to the world of theater is immeasurable. Not only was he a pure talent but a fierce advocate for the African American theater community. He produced, acted, directed and lobbied for stories of color to shine a light on our experiences during the late 70’s by founding “Amistad Theater Company.” He used his voice and reach on behalf of the younger generation to have a space to be seen and exhibit their talents as well. As a way to celebrate his life and continue his legacy we are officially launching "The Ernest Perry, Jr. Fund." We hope to provide financial resources to students of color pursuing an education in the arts as well young minority creators needing money or resources to help produce their works. Launching this fund is just beginning of our efforts. We plan to create a foundation as well as retreat for the arts to expand our vision and participation in supporting aspiring talent in efforts to ultimately continue his legacy. There are so many things we could and would love to do in order to honor Ernest Perry, Jr.'s work and memory and we felt this would be a great way to start. If you loved him, knew him or just enjoyed his works and want to help us create something special in his name, please consider donating to this fund as we are hoping to help as many young minority people as we can who seek to grow, thrive, learn and achieve within the world of arts. Thanks you for your contribution.
