Empower Asian Youth with ALLY

Donation protected
Kung-Flu. Asian elders attacked in the streets. A Florida law banning Chinese people from purchasing property. Since 2016, attacks against the Asian American community have intensified. The Asian Youth Liberty League (ALLY) is fighting back. We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that is run entirely by Asian students from around the United States. We educate Asian American students to be better thinkers, speakers, and leaders, so they can take the frontlines in advancing and defending the Asian American community. Since 2016, ALLY students have gone on become civil rights lawyers and work in the United States Senate. You can meet our student leaders here: https://www.allyassemble.org/our-story/our-team

This summer, ALLY is organizing dozens of events and initiatives. Here are some of our favorites:

Political Debates
Every year, ALLY invites in elected officials to meet the Asian American community and explain something they are passionate about to us. California State Treasurer Fiona Ma has come to speak about the importance of investing in education. Congresswoman Katie Porter has spoken about fighting for racial justice. Other past speakers include Congressman Gil Cisneros and Congresswoman Judy Chu. ALLY also hosts regular debates among candidates for political office. These events educate Asian American students about politics, and keep politicians accountable to our community. Learn more at https://www.allyassemble.org/events/past-events

Policy Competition:
For the first time in our history, ALLY is hosting a policy competition. High school students from all around the country are invited to submit original policy ideas. This competition will help Asian youths sharpen their writing skills, and help us find exciting new policy ideas to advocate for. ALLY Leadership Fellowship
Each summer, ALLY picks Leadership Fellows from over a hundred candidates. This year, we selected 3 executive fellows, who mentor, train, and inspire our high school students. We selected a social media fellow to tell ALLY's many stories. And we selected an experimental fellow to help us test out some of the innovative ideas our students have suggested. But our activities this summer will also come with thousands of dollars in costs. We pay our Fellows summer stipends to compensate them for their hard work. We are also giving out three scholarship awards to the winners of our policy competition. We need your support to keep training Asian youths to defend and advance the Asian American community.
