Ras’Julian Athill is the proud owner of Athill Dental Laboratory, LLC.
Originally from Antigua, West Indies, Ras’Julian came to America with a vision and determination to achieve his American Dream. With over 20 years of experience in the dental technologies field, Ras’Julian has honed his skills and expertise in various techniques and materials, establishing himself as a dedicated specialist in the industry.
Ras’Julian’s journey has been fueled by a passion for not only creating resilient smiles but also for educating and empowering others. He is deeply committed to expanding opportunities within the community, particularly for those who may face barriers to entry, such as individuals reentering society, veterans, and those with disabilities.
His goal is to provide these individuals with valuable skills that lead to financial independence, self-confidence, and meaningful employment.
Why We Need Your Help:
The current facility is insufficient to meet the growing demand for dental technicians and to train multiple individuals effectively. A new space that accommodates modern equipment and a larger number of dental technicians are needed.
With your support, a facility can be built and equipped to:

Fund Distribution:
To realize this vision, $305,000 needs to be raised. Here’s how the funds will be allocated:
1. Facility Rental/Purchase and Renovation ($80,000):
- Securing and renovating a location in Jacksonville to create a state-of-the-art training and operational lab.
2. Equipment and Tools ($100,000):
- Purchasing essential lab equipment, including milling machines, dental lathes, 3D printers, CAD/CAM systems, and necessary computers and software.
3. Instructor Salaries, Dental Technician Wages, and Training Materials ($105,000):
- Hiring experienced instructors and dental technicians to guide and support trainees!
- Developing comprehensive training materials and resources.
4. Utilities (Water, Electricity, Internet) ($10,000):
- Covering essential operational costs including water, electricity, and internet services.
5. Marketing and OJT Trainees and OSHA ($5,000):
- Promoting the program through advertising and outreach to attract aspiring students.
6. Miscellaneous Expenses (Contingency Fund and Administrative Costs) (5,000):
- Addressing any unforeseen expenses that may arise and covering incidental costs such as legal fees, permits, and other administrative necessities.
