Empower Dionna's Journey to Confidence and Success

My name is Dionna Parker. I’m 21 years old and a Durham, NC native. Born and raised in the “ Bull City”. I grew up being the middle child of 5 siblings. I graduated from Durham School Of The Arts in 2021. I was Miss Freshman and Miss Sophomore. Served on Student Council as Junior Class President and Senior Class President . Was an ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA sorority Inc. Cotillion Debutante. Became a Co-founder of Lambda Zeta Chi Delta Chapter. Attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Where I was inspired to follow my dreams and become a Real estate agent. I’m currently in school studying to get my North Carolina Real Estate license. I come from an Eagle amplify family. We love to fellowship and have a good time. Also I am apart of the family trail ride group “Back In The Saddle”. We love and enjoy the Equestrian lifestyle.

I’ll be participating in the National American Miss pageant. This pageant is centered around empowering young women to be confident and to love themselves from the inside and out. Uplifting the next generation of women to follow dreams and accomplish goals.

Being a contestant means the world to me. I get the opportunity to display how I’ve grown to be more confident in my own skin. I’ve worked so hard to fight anxiety and depression. The strength that I have gained has allowed me to step out my comfort zone. Winning National American Miss will be how I prove to myself that I am no longer that girl who allowed the world to tear her down. My insecurities will not block my blessings nor stop me from being the best version of myself.

I ask for everyone’s help and support along this journey to help me reach my sponsorship goal of $5,000. Funds will go toward pageant entry, travel expenses, wardrobe, hair, makeup, additional contest fees and community service projects. Half of the proceeds will also help fund my real estate career.
