Empower Eritrean Kids: Tools for Tomorrow's Scholars

Hi my name is Melina and I am 15 years old. Every time I visit Eritrea, I am reminded of the stark difference between my life in London and the reality faced by many children there. While I’ve enjoyed trips back home with my family, I’ve also seen the harsh challenges many children face. They lack basic necessities—food, clean clothes, and, in many cases, school supplies.

These children are eager to learn, but without essentials like books, pens, or even paper, their educational journey becomes an uphill battle. No child should face these obstacles to learning. As an Eritrean who has been fortunate to receive so many opportunities, I feel a deep commitment to helping children in Eritrea access the education they deserve.

I am raising funds to provide school supplies for kids in need. Your donations will go directly towards essentials like backpacks, exercise books, educational materials, and stationery—items that can help lighten their burden and support their academic progress.

I will personally deliver these supplies when I travel to Eritrea in the summer of 2025. A small donation can have a huge impact, creating happy memories for these children and showing them they are cared for.
