Altus Academy - the little school with BIG results!
Located in the heart of East Garfield Park, Altus Academy is a beacon of hope for 80 deserving students in grades K-8 from low-income households. Our private, non-profit school provides a high-quality, values-based education at no cost, empowering children from some of Chicago's most challenging neighborhoods to dream bigger and achieve more.
Incredibly, over 70% of our students demonstrate proficiency in math and reading - more than double the rates of Chicago Public Schools and three times higher than similar schools. Since our first 8th grade commencement in 2016, more than 75% of our graduates have gone on to attend four-year colleges and universities, proving that with the right support, anything is possible.
But we need your help to continue this vital work! Your donation will directly support this school year's events, enriching our student's experiences and fostering a sense of community. Contributions will help fund:
- Thanksgiving Luncheon: A warm gathering for our students, faculty, and their families to celebrate gratitude on Thanksgiving day and share a meal.
- Mother-Son and Father-Daughter Dance: A special evening for parents and their children to bond, where our students make heartfelt promises to their parents about their future.
- End-of-Year Celebration: A fun event to honor our students' hard work and achievements throughout the year.
