Empower Futures Through Martial Arts Training

MARTIAL ARTS: BRIDGING COMUNITIES AND BUILDING FUTURES

Martial Arts isn't just about self-defense—it's about discipline, respect, self-confidence, and community. Unfortunately, many children in low-income areas all around the world are deprived of opportunities to engage in activities that could profoundly impact their lives. We want to do our part and change that.

So, I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to raise the minimum amount of money to cover the initial costs for a kick start to open a Martial Arts academy that will serve underprivileged children, teens and adults, in my home town Recife, Brazil, can train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other Martial Arts regardless of their financial situation.

Why this project Matters

This project is incredibly close to my heart, as Martial Arts—especially Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—has transformed my life growing up in profound ways, and I want to give back by creating a place where others can experience the same growth, discipline, and empowerment providing a safe space where they can learn life-changing skills, stay off the streets, developing and instilling strong values such as self -confidence, loyalty, respect, courage, self-discipline, resilience, the importance of hard work and may others that will guide and shape them throughout life helping them grow mentally, emotionally and physically.

In Brazil, many people face immense challenges such as poverty, violence, and lack of opportunities. Through martial arts, we believe that can offer them a safe, structured environment, we can steer them away from negative influences and toward a path of success help them break out of negative cycles and find a new path in life and with your support, we can make this dream a reality!

Our plan

This academy will offer classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense, and other Martial Arts to adults, teens, and children with the respective practice gears: Gis, Rashguards, Gloves etc.

Our model will be unique, a Hybrid Approach:

• Free classes for underprivileged families who can’t afford to pay, no one will be turned away for financial reasons.

• Low-cost membership fees for those who can afford it, we will have a very low monthly fee to help cover the academy's running costs helping sustain the academy in case donations are slow, this way, the academy can continue to run even without constant outside support. This sustainable model will allow us to remain open long-term, while still providing a high-quality experience for our students.
