Empower Grace's Life with Finley the Service Dog

For the past two decades, Grace Sophia has been living with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), a chronic disability that causes severe inflammation and debilitating pain. As a result, functioning on a daily basis is extremely difficult without support, leaving her unable to work, drive or socialize. Getting Finley, her new mobility service dog, will help Grace become more self-sufficient again. Yet, the acquisition and training process requires costs beyond her means. Meet Finley! Finley is a mobility support service dog that has found his partner! Grace Sophia and Finley will begin their team training this January! For Finley, it’s been months of growing up from being a puppy to learning the ropes as a Mobility Support Dog. For Grace, it's been a multi-year journey to receive another service dog. Finley will return her to a much more active and independent life than she has been able to enjoy these past few years. Here are a few words from Grace:

“Hi! I’m Grace and I want to thank Rebekah for setting up this GoFundMe and you for taking time to read my request. I just learned I’ve been paired with a Mobility Service Standard Poodle from MobilityDog (mobilitydog.org). I'm SO excited to begin this journey as it will help me to be more independent and increase the quality of my life. There are many expenses along the way for this type of endeavor. I will need to travel to team training for at least a week for us to be supervised by the trainer as we begin working together and learn about each other. On my limited income, costs like hotel/Airbnb nights, Lyft, and food will accumulate very quickly. I humbly ask your assistance and support in covering the expenses of obtaining my wonderful new service dog, Finley.
