Empower Haitian Refugees' Education Through Technology
Donation protected
Hello Donors,
My name is Joon Young Doh, and I am a rising high school senior passionate about humanitarian work. I am part of AltruisTech, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving education for Haitian children who have fled to the Dominican Republic due to the difficult and dangerous conditions in Haiti. Sadly, many of these young refugees face discrimination and persecution, preventing them from accessing formal education.
To address this, AltruisTech is working in partnership with ALE Mission Group, based in the Dominican Republic, to raise funds for tablets that will serve as digital textbooks. These tablets will not only provide the necessary educational materials but also offer a more practical solution by eliminating the need for physical books, reducing shipping costs, and allowing for greater access to learning resources.
Our goal is to send 40 tablets to the children, with many more to follow. Each tablet costs about $150, but thanks to an upcoming Amazon sale in October, we will be able to purchase each device for just $50. This is why every donation is so important—your contributions will directly help provide these children with the tools they need for a brighter future.
By supporting this initiative, you are helping to nurture the future leaders who can bring positive change to Haiti. We deeply appreciate your generosity and support in helping us reach our goal.
Thank you for making a difference!
