Empower Inspire CIC Community Groups

Empower Inspire CIC was my idea (Joanne Juliff), established in January 2022 to provide the social support that was badly needed after the Covid pandemic. The purpose of the organisation is to 'Promote Inclusion and Reduce Isolation'. The organisation currently offers a Dementia (Sunflower) Cafe in Taibach, THREE Singing for the Brain groups in Margam, Cwmgwrach and Pontardawe, and TWO parenting groups in Seven Sisters and Pontardawe.

I KNOW that my groups are making a HUGE difference to people's lives - but it has become increasingly difficult to get funding to pay for the costs each of these groups incur. Expenses such as wages, rents for the venue and the office where I spend time constantly applying for funding, are threatening to overwhelm us.

My biggest concern is that we regularly get referrals from the Local Authority and the Health Board, but receive zero finding from them. My groups are filling vital gaps in provision - but the only funding we get is from little known organisations that I've found from spending evenings trawling the internet looking for people to help.

These groups will never be profitable - and are very cheap to run - however - the difference they are making is invaluable. If you can afford to donate - rest assured EVERY penny will be spent on continuing the provision.
