Empower Jinan to Continue Her Mission

Hi everyone.

I'm Jinan, a Palestinian activist and chef in Washington DC. I've dedicated my entire life to supporting Palestine, from curating pop-up food events to help educate the public about our food sovereignty, to raising funds for multiple groups on the ground in Palestine helping feed and protect people. I also work in the nonprofit space, educating and organizing events for the community around Palestine.

It's hard for me to raise funds in this moment for anyone but Palestine. I've donated majority of my profits in the last 15 months from my events to support those experiencing genocide. But my health is declining right now, and I need help.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. This illness causes severe inflammation in my body, making it difficult to function normally. Using traditional medicine doesn't help, and the only relief I have is through a holistic doctor that does hands on lymphatic treatment. However, insurance doesn't cover this type of treatment.

Right now, my body is at the worst it's been. I struggle to lose weight, sleep, and move without pain most days. I have gone back to my holistic doctor to jumpstart my healing, but I need to pay out of pocket.

I'm asking for a very modest amount to get me started. Once I see results (which is within a month), I'll have the energy and stamina to host popups again to raise the rest of the money I need.

I appreciate your support. I know I'm asking for a lot as my people experience a genocide. I thought very hard about even doing this, as I feel immense guilt for already living such a privileged life. But I only stand to worsen in my health if I don't do something now.
