Empower My Global Education Journey

My name is Karely Morales, and I am a junior in high school. One of my biggest dreams would be the opportunity to study abroad. I have been accepted into Creative Writing in the Land of Lochs & Legends in Edinburgh, Scotland. This program will provide me with the chance to immerse myself in new cultures, develop my skills, and gain invaluable experiences that will shape my future. Through CIEE, I will be learning from experts in my fields of interest, connecting with students who share my aspirations, and growing both academically and personally in a global environment.

Studying abroad through CIEE offers a unique opportunity to understand diverse cultures, enhance language skills, and gain real-world knowledge that can only be experienced through living abroad. CIEE supports students by providing mentorship, expert-led education, and an opportunity to foster cultural awareness, which will help me in my personal and professional growth. I have chosen this program because I have always had a passion for learning about new cultures, and especially creative writing. I always love to learn new things and turn them into values that will help me in the future.

However, as a student from a low-income background, the financial burden of these programs is a major challenge. While I have worked hard to earn scholarships and financial aid, I still need additional support to cover the remaining costs, including tuition, travel, and other expenses. I have set this goal because these programs offer an incredible chance to invest in my future, and I want to ensure that I have every opportunity to participate in them. I am aware of the challenge of raising this money in 3 weeks. My tuition money is due April 15, 2025.

Your generosity, no matter the amount, will bring me one step closer to making this dream a reality. If I am able to reach my goal, the funds will directly support my participation in these programs.
