Empower Kevin's Fresh Start After Prison

Hi, my name is Kevin. I am a 40 year old Michigan Native who has just returned home after serving 20 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections. While in prison, I gave my all to self rehabilitation; gaining multiple certifications, working towards 2 associate degrees, and delving deeply into the mind that brought me into a place of criminality.

I have passionately pursued my education, having only 7credits left before I achieve my associates in Business and 12 credits for my Arts degree (studying for Social Working). I have built and facilitated programs (classes) aimed at self enrichment and self-help for those interested in renewing the mind so as to prevent future harm to society and self.

Understanding that all returning citizens need help in establishing themselves in the community, I am currently seeking donations that will aid me in the following:

#1. Gaining a measure of Financial stability so that I may continue focusing on locating employment. This will help me resolve pending financial obligations that pose a threat to my ability to maintain and enhance my rehabilitative efforts, by removing the added pressure from a lack in finances. Therefore, the funds will be utilized (in part) to help me regain my drivers license to enable me to have reliable transportation to important appointments such as job interviews, doctors, parole agent, etc.

#2. This help will enable me to obtain the basic necessities that will enable me to not only survive, but thrive as I pursue my goals of establishing myself within the community; as well as continue my education. Which means that I will also utilize this money to fulfill my day to day needs and monthly obligations regarding Parole.
