Empower Learning Through Exciting Adventures

Hello! The 5th grade team at Emerson is raising funds to be able to take our class on field trips this year.

In 5th grade, we study the biodiversity of the rainforest in an in-depth unit where students discover how vital the rainforest is to life on Earth. One example of a trip that this will help fund is to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, where they have a rainforest exhibit that will allow students to step into a real rainforest experience, feel the humidity, and observe the plants and animals living there.

The cost of this trip is $900 for entrance to the museum for both classes and $1500 for transportation.

This is just one of the many trips we would like our scholars to experience.

All of the funds from this gofundme will go towards educational experiences for our amazing scholars in Oakland.
