The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest annual game creation event, bringing developers, artists, designers, and enthusiasts together to collaborate, innovate, and create games in just 48 hours. For 2025, we aim to make the Kigali Site the biggest and most impactful GGJ community event in East Africa—but more than ever we need your support to make it happen!

Rwanda is rapidly emerging as a hub for Business, innovation and Technology in the region and we been striving to make the gaming industry part of that boom, thanks to efforts led by Digital Realm Entertainment, the Rwanda Games Industry and Developers Association (RGIDA). The Digital Realm GGJ Kigali Site represents more than just game creation; it’s a celebration of Rwanda, African games industry talent, collaboration, and global connectivity. By supporting this campaign, you will help us provide resources, mentorship, and an inspiring platform for both aspiring and experienced game developers in Rwanda and beyond.

Hosting the GGJ Kigali Site requires funding for:

Venue and Equipment: A comfortable and fully equipped space for participants to unleash their creativity.
