Support Sam Cassidy's Fight with ALS

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
In November of 2023, Sam began having issues with swallowing and speaking. As time passed, his symptoms continued to worsen, leading to difficulties using his left hand and left leg. Sam began seeing a number of different doctors and specialists, and underwent countless tests to try to determine what was causing the ongoing issues.
In May of 2024, Sam Cassidy was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This terrible disease slowly takes away an individual’s motor function and control, leaving them with the inability to walk or talk.
At only 26 years old, Sam has an incredibly difficult path laid out before him. Despite this, though, Sam has remained wholly the same person on the inside. On the surface he is an avid gamer, a Twitch streamer, and an amazing friend, brother, and son. Underneath, he is an incredibly unique and creative person that manages to make every “good time” a “great time” with his off-the-wall humor and fun-centric nature. Sam is, and always will be, someone that puts everyone else before himself, seemingly living his life by the rule that the most important parts of life are not what you do with it, but who is there alongside you.
While the disease itself will continue to unfairly and indiscriminately take from Sam, you can help alleviate the financial burden that follows in its path. Between medical costs, physical therapy, and proper living accommodations, we are asking for help in ensuring that Sam can spend his time living his life on his terms as much as possible rather than worrying about the next expense.
