Empower Chess Team with Dr. Colletti

Hello everyone! My name is Dr. Michael Colletti, Ph.D. I have taught high school math for over 18 years! This year I have the awesome opportunity to lead the chess club and the chess team during our school year. Our Chess Club/Team funds are extremely low and need your help to meet our goals! We intend on creating a club and team that inspires our students, school, and community! We will be competing in competitions all over the area and would like to travel to competitions state and region wide. Additionally, we would love to provide our members with hats, hoodies, and shirts so that we look great when traveling and competing! Finally, as the coach I would like to take the team on field trips, invite guest lecturers on chess, purchase chess software to improve learning and training, attend professional competitions, and do many more fun and amazing things associated with chess. As a math teacher, I believe that supporting and nurturing all our students is an important process in growing as compassionate and competitive human beings in our ever-changing global society. I believe chess can do this for our kids.
