YES! needs YOU: Power Up Youth & Amplify Their Voices

YES! (aka the Delaware Youth Environmental Summit) is a student-led, statewide confab for all Delaware high school students interested in protecting our Earth, from home schoolers, to all public, parochial and independent schools in Delaware. The annual summit features keynote speakers, panel workshops, and exhibitors hall that equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to get involved, implement eco-friendly initiatives and drive meaningful change in their communities. In addition to traditional sessions, our hybrid model will bring in global experts via virtual platforms, broadening the scope of learning and discussion. The Summit encourages Delaware’s youth to lead on a range of critical environmental challenges—from climate change to environmental justice, plastic pollution, and building a zero waste culture.

Last year, we were proud to welcome more than 500 students from 34 high schools. We are thrilled to announce that plans are well underway for the sixth annual YES! Summit, set for Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Chase Center in Wilmington, where we’re expanding to accommodate over 1,000 students. To keep this Summit free and accessible to all, especially Title I schools and those attending for the first time, we are offering financial support for transportation—a new initiative this year. These changes significantly increase our budget to over $80,000 this year. While we have already raised more than half of that, we need your help to reach our goal and ensure that every Delaware student who wants to attend can do so, regardless of financial barriers.
