Empower Youth by supporting Literacy and Entrepreneurship

My name is Tevin Studdard and I run a free program for inner city youth in 10 zip codes across Indianapolis called LEAD Literacy Entrepreneurship and Dreams. I wanted to increase the literacy rate in our community, by creating excitement around reading. I felt there’s no better way to create excitement than to provide kids the tools to create their own books. I also feel kids should be paid for their work. I'm seeking to turn kids into entrepreneurs who create their own book series. The LEAD program started on June 13th and I've turned 300 kids into published authors since then. I'm seeking funding to provide kids with laptops for the class as well as other materials needed. I'm also seeking funding to travel around the state and country to help change our communities through literature while keeping the program free for kids.
