Empower Youth Leaders in Under-Served Communities

Pass the Mic Summer Camp is an event created by Esther Calhoun and LaQuenna Lewis from Love IS What Love Does. Madam President governs the entire camp operations, which will be located in Newbern, AL to serve the blackbelt as a whole. The Samuel Lawrence Foundation needs your support to empower the future youth leaders in under-served communities through sponsoring students attending this camp.
Camp starts June 13 to provide kids 12-19 years living in Rural Alabama an opportunity to flourish into their best selves. Camp curriculum of art therapy, academic enrichment through S.T.E.M. and mentorship, and recreational activities such as sports and music will develop critical life concepts for leadership and Eco-stewardship.
At the end of camp we will have Summer Fest, a community event for all under-served community members.
Three weeks of camp hosts 75 - 100 youth, at a cost of $100 per student. Please leave your email so your sponsored student can return a thank you letter.
