A Wedding Gift of Hope: Maya's Dream Warung

Ciao a tutti, siamo Fabian e Lia. Come sapete, ci stiamo sposando! Evviva! Yeee!

Alcuni di voi potrebbero star pensando di regalarci un divano, una lavatrice, o magari un buono per una spa... ma aspettate un attimo! Non c'è bisogno di tutto questo! Invece, abbiamo qualcosa di speciale in mente: ci piacerebbe che facciate parte della nostra campagna GoFundMe!

Vogliamo condividere con voi una storia - la storia di Maya, la sorella di Lia. In questo momento, lei sta lavorando in una fabbrica di noodles istantanei in Indonesia, a lavorare sei giorni alla settimana - a volte anche sette - guadagnando il salario minimo, senza nessun giorno di malattia o ferie. E non è tutto: Maya ha anche una condizione medica, ma non può ricevere il trattamento adeguato a causa della pressione sul lavoro.

Dura, vero? Ma non lo diresti mai guardandola - Maya è un raggio di sole, sempre sorridente, e ragazzi, sa cucinare!

In fondo, Maya ha un sogno, sapete? Vuole aprire il suo warung, un piccolo ristorante locale - un posto accogliente dove poter cucinare i suoi piatti preferiti, sostenere la famiglia e creare un piccolo rifugio comunitario. E sapete una cosa? Siamo determinati ad aiutarla a realizzarlo!

Il nostro obiettivo? 10.000 euro.

E se riusciamo a raggiungere questo obiettivo, possiamo aiutare non solo Maya, ma anche Nur, il fratello di Lia!

Nur lavora come operaio di manutenzione dei fiumi per il governo. Con uno stipendio di meno di 100 euro e due bambini da mantenere, la vita non è facile nemmeno per lui.

Anche Nur ha un sogno tutto suo: vuole aprire un negozio di riparazione di moto. Ha desiderato farlo per vent'anni, fin dai tempi della scuola, ma con tutte le responsabilità familiari non ha mai avuto la possibilità di alimentare davvero quella passione.

Ecco il piano - se riusciamo a raccogliere 10.000 euro, saremo in grado di realizzare i sogni sia di Maya che di Nur.

Hey everyone, it's Fabian and Lia here. As you know we are getting married! Woo-hoo! Yeee!

Some of you might be thinking of getting us a sofa, a washing machine, or maybe a spa voucher... but hold on! No need for that! Instead, we've got something special in mind – we'd love for you to be a part of our GoFundMe campaign!

We want to share a story with you – the story of Maya, Lia's sister. Right now, she's working at an instant noodles factory in Indonesia, grinding away six days a week - sometimes even seven – earning the minimum wage, without any sick leave or annual leave. And on top of it, Maya has a medical condition but she can't get the proper treatment because of her work pressure.

Tough, right? But you'd never know it from her – Maya's a ray of sunshine, always smiling, and boy, can she cook!

Deep down Maya's got a dream, you know? She wants to open her own warung, a small local restaurant – a cozy spot where she can cook up her favorite dishes, support the family, and create a little community haven. And guess what? We're dead set on helping her make it happen!

Our target? 10,000 euros.

And if we can reach this target, we can help not only Maya, but also Nur, Lia’s brother! Nur works as a river maintenance worker for the government. With a wage less than 100 euro and two kiddos to support, life is no picnic for him either.

Nur's got a dream of his own – he wants to open up a motorbike repair shop. He's been itching to do it for twenty years, even since he just graduated, but with all the family responsibilities, he's never had the chance to really fuel that passion.

So here's the deal – if we can raise 10,000 euros, we'll be able to make both Maya’s and Nur's dreams come true.
