Empowering Girls to Thrive: Support Our Event
Hi, we are Farah, Lotte, Dawn and Lizette, and we’re reaching out on behalf of an important cause. Together with House of Besma, we are organizing a special event for girls between the ages of 12 and 18 who deserve better opportunities. These young girls have faced unsafe situations that have limited their chances to grow, learn, and thrive.
On the 18th of October, from 3 pm to 7 pm, at Jungle event location in East Amsterdam, we’re creating a safe and fun afternoon where these girls can enjoy various mini-workshops, activities, and experiences that will help build their confidence, empower them, and nurture a strong sense of community.
What the day will include:
A DJ providing music throughout the event
A dance workshop to express themselves through movement
Fun games that encourage teamwork and connection
A beauty corner where the girls can do each other's hair and nails
Our goal is to foster self-confidence, self-efficacy, and positive connections among these young women, helping them to succeed on their own terms.
How you can help: We are raising funds to cover the costs of this event from venue rental to supplies for the workshops, transportation for the girls and catering.
Your donation, big or small, will make a direct impact on the lives of these girls by giving them the opportunity to explore new skills, and most importantly, feel seen and supported in a safe environment.
