Empowering Kichwa Women With Technology
Donation protected
Our group, comprised of Amherst College students, is seeking $500 for the Kichwa women of Tipines, near Eduador. Please help support Manuela Isaysi Daquilema and the Kichwa women in getting computers and necessary technology to help in their efforts against violence against women, water rights, agriculture, and land rights.
Manuela Isaysi Daquilema is a leader in her community, which resides in the Ecuadorian Amazon region. This community is composed of around 3,000 people, including high numbers of women an children. Manuela and her community have dedicated themselves to land advocacy and violence against women. Through this donation, they are seeking help to continue their fight against the causes which deeply affect their community and land. Access to technology is crucial to empowerment and development, especially in remote and underserved areas. Your contribution to improving technology and their access to the greater world through the internet will profoundly impact the lives of these women, their community, and their continued fight.
