Empowering My Business Journey: Creating a Safe Space

Hello everyone,

My name is Dany :)

I am starting an exciting yet challenging journey to transition into a career as an esthetician, and I am reaching out to you for support during these tough times. My passion for skincare and helping others feel confident in their own skin has led me to pursue this dream of owning my own esthetician business. However, the road ahead is not without its challenges, and I need your help to navigate through them.

A little bit more of how I got here:

I used to work as a teacher, but it was during the pandemic that I realized how stressful and hurtful the environment was to my health. I decided to go back to school in 2022 and study skincare in hopes that I could be in a field where there was a possibility to have my own business one day.

I finished my program and got licensed at the end of 2023 and have been pursuing work in an esthetics space to gain experience and more knowledge. I’m not going to lie it’s been tough. I know finding work in any field right now is difficult and discouraging to say the least.

I was able to find a part time job in a salon, but that didn’t last long because they claimed to be LGBTQ friendly, but were not in practice. So my job search continued and I felt like it was right to start something of my own where I would surely feel safe and fully accepted as I am. Which brings me here.

I humbly ask if you are willing and able to help me launch my business, I would pay that forward to you all and to others. There’s so much tragedy happening in the world right now and I always keep that in mind. I think we do what we can, even if it’s spreading of kindness and joy to others in a little way.

The funds raised will go towards helping me get started. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference and brings me closer to fulfilling my dream of creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone. I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and belief in me.
