Empowering Women and Mothers in Indonesia
Donation protected
This year, for my birthday, I’m raising money to help women and mothers in Indonesia build better lives for themselves and their families.
In 2020, I launched the Lina Kasenda scholarship fund for children at the Miftahurrojah school in Ciwidey, Indonesia.
Through this fund, we were able to make a meaningful change for the school and its students. One of the scholarship recipients was Irman, who was at risk of dropping out as he did not have any family to support his education. Thanks to the crowdfunded donations, we were able to cover his tuition fees and basic living expenses through high school and his hospitality education. Today, Irman is 19 years old, financially independent and working at a hotel in Bandung.

I want to expand the reach of this fund to support women in Indonesia, who are often the backbone of their families. I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be for women trapped in a cycle of poverty. When meeting basic needs like putting food on the table is a constant struggle, there’s little room or resources to focus on building a better future. This campaign aims to provide direct support to these women, giving them the tools and opportunities they need to achieve their goals and create lasting change for themselves and their families.
What your donation will do
We’ll work with each beneficiary to understand what she needs to succeed. Your donation could help pay for:
- Costs related to applying for jobs, including relocation expenses
- Tuition or training fees for crucial education
- Start-up supplies for a small business
- Anything else they need to break free from the cycle of poverty
How you can help
Every donation makes a difference:
- €10: Helps with transportation for a job interview
- €25: Buys supplies or covers training costs
- €50: Contributes to living expenses for a month
- €100-150: Pays for exam fees for certification
My story
This project is part of a charity I started in my mom’s name, the Lina Kasenda Fund. My mom always cared deeply about helping others, especially people in Indonesia, where our family is from. In the past, we’ve helped children in Indonesia stay in school. Now, as a mother in the ballroom scene, I hope to be able to support mothers in Indonesia. When women have access to opportunities, they lift up their whole families and communities. This campaign is about giving them that chance.
Thank you for being part of this project and helping to continue my mom’s legacy.
