Starting Ghanaadom Football Academy was a dream born from our passion for football and desire to give back to the community. Growing up, we always felt a lack of opportunities for young talents in our area. This project means the world to us because it’s not just about football; it’s about creating a safe space for kids to learn, grow, and chase their dreams. When we were younger, having such an academy would have made a significant difference in my life, providing guidance and support that I often lacked.

Working on this project with my brother makes it even more special. We share the same vision and passion, and building something meaningful together is incredibly fulfilling. It strengthens our bond and allows us to combine our strengths to make a greater impact.

About Ghanaadom NGO and Football Academy:

Ghanaadom NGO leverages the power of football to address critical social issues such as male mental health, teenage pregnancy, menstrual hygiene, and gender equality. Our football Academy focuses on sustainability and developmental goals, nurturing both boys and girls. Currently, we support 53 young individuals, with 33 boys residing in our facilities, including one from Nigeria. They receive free food, healthcare, education, and vocational training.

Our Mission and Impact:

Our primary goal is to instil self-independence, provide role models, and use sports to steer the youth away from drugs, peer pressure, and depression. Over the past five years, we have impacted over 100 youths. In 2017, we conducted workshops at Ankaful Maximum Prisons and Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital, discovering the immense pressures faced by the youth today.

Through our efforts, we have facilitated the release of 15 inmates from Ankaful Prisons, serving nearly 150 years collectively for unpaid debts. Three of these individuals are now employed at our construction site. Additionally, we have supported 250 boys and girls at Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital in overcoming mental challenges through sports and mental awareness programs, providing them with food, clothes, phones, and laptops.
