Em's Dysautonomia Service Dog
Donation protected
Hi!
My name is Emma and I am in the process of receiving a cardiac alert/dysautonomia service dog!
While I am currently in the process of discovering more about my health and what is going on, my heart and its conditions are an everyday struggle. A few years ago I was diagnosed with a PVC and a PAC and recently I was diagnosed with dysautonomia (POTS), these issues can cause many issues for me. My everyday life looks very different from most people's. I am tired constantly because my body is trying to keep up, I get lightheaded and dizzy when I stand up because my heart rate has risen too high and my blood pressure cannot keep up with my body. I also struggle with being upright for too long because my blood pools into my legs. I often am having to stop what I am doing to take measures to bring my heart rate down and sit down so that I do not fall if I pass out.
Having a service dog will allow me to have a bit more control over my life. A cardiac alert/dysautonomia service dog is trained to alert someone when their heart rate begins to raise so that pre-symptom measures can be taken. These service dogs also perform DPT (deep pressure therapy) which brings your heart rate down.
If you are willing to donate I would greatly appreciate it!
You can also support me and this process through prayer and words of encouragement!
Thanks!
