Help Shannon (Kelly) Campbell with Expenses

Hello, my name is Tim Cox. My wife, Adriana Cox, and I are starting this Gofund me to assist a friend in need. Shannon is an amazing person and greatly needs our help. She has always given so much to help others throughout her life, and now it is time to help her. Many of you know Shannon, for those of you who don't, know she is the person that would do anything for a friend, family member, or even a compete stranger. We ask you, please help her in her time of need. Here is her story.

On October 5, 2023, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, Hemolytic Anemia. I was admitted to the hospital where I received a blood transfusion. Since being home, I developed a new blood clot in my leg. (I was diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism on my right lung in November 2022.) I have been attending many doctor’s appointments and have had multiple lab tests done.

The current treatment plan for my Hemolytic Anemia is medication and constant weekly/biweekly doctor’s appointments with the constant retesting of my labs. When my levels drop, I will need another blood transfusion in the future. Apparently my own blood doesn’t like my body! It breaks itself down. It was difficult for the Red Cross to find donor blood that my body would accept and not destroy during the testing phase before the transfusion.

This diagnosis is just the icing on the cake. I have been unemployed since July 2022, due to health concerns.

We have been a one income household since 2022. As most of our family and friends know, John and I take care of his father, Jim who is 93. We have a very steep mountain ahead of us.

It breaks my heart to not be working. One to help my family. And two, for my love of people. I miss what I do. More than anyone will ever know. There is no projection for my return to work.

I look forward to the day when I can wake up and feel somewhat like me again.
