enable me to attend a volunteer expedition to Kenya

Hello my name is Kitty and I am 14 years old. I am a student at Allerton High School, which in the summer of 2026 along with Camps International, will be taking a group of students to Kenya for a 4 week expedition.

The aim of the expedition is to make long-lasting improvements to the lives of the locals, the environment, and the local wildlife. I know it will be physically and emotionally really hard, but I know it will improve the living conditions for the locals who are less fortunate than me. On this expedition we will be living and working alongside people in 2 rural communities. We could be helping by building new houses, building desks for schoolchildren, or installing fresh water tanks at schools and in villages. They would then be able to access clean water easily. We could also be digging elephant watering holes to help them survive the dry season. Or even goat de-worming!

This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity and would be a whole new experience, however the costs of it are high. My school has encouraged me to raise as much of the £5,000 needed for this trip as I can, but I will need your help as I would really like to be part of this; making a difference. Even though it would be challenging and hard work, it would help so many people who are needing it.

So far I have done a sponsored litter pick in my local area and have baked cakes to sell. I will also be doing other exciting fundraising events!

I have a long way to go, but with your help I know I can do it!
