End Her Suffering: Endometriosis Survivor-UPDATES!
Donation protected
Hello to all you kind people! I am starting this gofundme on behalf of my identical twin sister, Andrea.
Andrea has been bravely battling endometriosis (a chronic inflammatory disease, considered 1 of the top 20 most painful illnesses in the world) for an astonishing 24 years. Despite her incredible resilience, it developed to Stage 4 in 2017 and since then, the chronic pain, fatigue, and debilitating symptoms have taken a profound toll on her quality of life.
Andrea has had 3 surgeries here in Edmonton since 2018, but knowledge of endometriosis and how to treat it surgically is limited. Recently, we discovered a specialized endometriosis surgeon in New York who has opened a cutting-edge clinic, dedicated to providing life-changing care for women like Andrea. This surgeon's expertise and innovative approach offer Andrea her best chance at finding relief and reclaiming her life.
The catch: Andrea's insurance doesn't cover the full cost of the surgery and post-operative care. That's where you come in – we're counting on your support to help bridge the financial gap and get Andrea the care she so desperately needs.
Your donation will directly contribute to:
- Surgery and hospitalization costs
- Post-operative care and rehabilitation
- Travel and accommodation expenses for Andrea and her support team
Any contribution, big or small, brings Andrea closer to a better quality of life. Even just sharing this link helps bring awareness to her story and the countless women experiencing the same thing. She is an empathetic, bright, nurturing and kind-hearted soul and remains so despite the hardships of her medical journey and current condition. Though unable to work full-time presently due to her health, she is a preschool teacher, caring for, supporting and guiding the next generation of little ones who will make our world a better place! She is SO deserving!
