The Social Issue:

Hunger is a critical issue that affects nearly 40% of the world’s population. Every night, 733 million people go to bed hungry. Malnutrition is responsible for nearly half of all deaths in children under five, claiming the lives of more than two million children each year. Addressing this issue is crucial because hunger not only affects physical health but also impedes cognitive development, economic productivity, and overall quality of life (AAH, 2024).

Global Hunger: One in 11 people suffer from hunger worldwide.

Food Insecurity: Almost 30% of people globally are food insecure.

Child Mortality: 50% of child deaths are linked to hunger.

Our Impact:

Action Against Hunger’s proven solutions save lives. We provide emergency food assistance, clean water, and health services to those in need. Our programs reach 24 million people annually, and 90% of every dollar donated goes directly to our field programs. We work with local communities to ensure sustainable change, empowering them to grow their own food, raise livestock, and improve their health (AAH, 2024).
