Kidney disease fundraiser
Tax deductible
On November 4th 2022 I was admitted to hospital with pneumonia and hypertension. 2 weeks later I left with a diagnosis of chronic end stage kidney failure. Facing a life on dialysis or death my only hope was a transplant.
Step forward my brother Declan and one year later my life has changed in ways I could’ve never imagined. We faced months of testing together with many ups and downs along the way. With the help of Jess, my sister Susan and close family, I survived.
Only 4% of the millions of people dealing with this disease are as lucky as me. There are over 100,000 people currently on the transplant list awaiting a deceased or living donor.
I would like to try and give a little back by fundraising and volunteering as a peer mentor with the NKF giving guidance to those recently diagnosed with renal failure.
Your donation is tax deductible and will go directly to the NKF. It will help people on dialysis as well as furthering research and making transplants more accessible.
