Luke Erman Bellamy is one of the sweetest 13 year old boys you will meet. Luke loves meeting new people, he loves the wind blowing in his face, he loves the electric fireplace blowing heat directly on every part of him, he loves baths, and he loves bouncing on his bed.
Luke has non-verbal autism, a seizure disorder, severe developmental delay and bowel disorder. Luke's journey through the medical system has been long, and winding. His complex needs mean that he has good days, and bad. Over the last few years there have been more bad days than we can count as he has been suffering with excruciating pain due to his bowel disorder.
Over the last few years Luke's quality of life has been greatly impacted by frequent hospitalization, keeping him away from his family, friends, and beloved John Dolan School.
After having exhausted all of the options available to Luke within our own wonderful country, we are now hoping to travel to the US, to work with a specialized pediatric bowel team.
