End of Life Care for Brian Harvey
Donation protected
Hi everyone. This is one of the saddest pieces of writing that I have ever had to put together...but it is very much necessary at this point for my sister and my amazing brother-in-law.
My sister, Chellie, married her high school sweetheart. They were 16 & 15 when they met and became inseparable. Brian has always been a joker. Goofy. Silly and it is impossible to be anything but happy when you are near him....and now he and my sister need your help. Our help.
Brian is currently receiving end of life care for a very aggressive form of throat cancer. It is inoperable and as of yesterday, further treatments are not possible. We are going to lose him very soon and to type that is ripping out the heart of my entire family.
As many understand, cancer treatments are long and costly. Funeral arrangements are costly. And trying to keep your household operational without the major income maker is darn near impossible. My sister is living her worst nightmare currently faced with so much.
Losing her forever person after 34 years of marriage and a lifetime together is enough to break the strongest of people. Having to try to scurry and arrange finances while dealing with that pain is more than anyone should have to deal with.
We set up this Go Fund Me in effort to alleviate some of their worries during Brian's final days. Chellie will need help to offset the loss of Brian’s income as well as to pay the mountain of medical bills and then funeral expenses. We are plugged in to Hospice as well as a few other organizations to assist with the process and some of the expenses but it just isn’t enough. All donations will go towards medical bills/needs and living expenses.
We have set a goal but honestly, anything at this point will give my sister some space to be able to process this mountain of grief. We appreciate you taking the time to read their story. If you can donate, please know how much our entire family appreciates it.
