Sunset Park End of Summer Jam
Concert For A Cause
September 15th from 3-7pm
Who: Anyone who enjoys good music and helping people
What: A free concert featuring The Dave Diamond Funk All-Stars and local student bands
Where: The Sousa Bandshell at Sunset Park Port Washington
When: September 15th 2018 from 3-7pm
Why: Because enjoying live music and raising money for Nicholas Center/Spectrum Designs is a great way to spend a Sunday
THE DETAILS:
We want this to be more than just a day of music and fun but an event that has a social impact on our community and we need your help. Although this concert is free to attend, and we encourage everyone to come out, we are asking the community to band together to support Nicholas Center/Spectrum Designs, a Port Washington non-profit, and help them accomplish their mission of providing gainful employment and meaningful work opportunities to individuals with autism. All proceeds after event expenses will go to Nicholas Center to help those with autism lead fuller, independent and productive lives. To learn more about the important work the center is doing in our community follow the link: http://www.nicholascenterusa.org
While any amount is greatly appreciated, for every $50 dollars you donate you will receive a specially designed t-shirt, created by Spectrum Designs commemorating this event (you can pick these up at the concert).
Can’t wait to see you and your families for a great day of music and fun for a great cause!
Special thanks to the John Philip Sousa Bandshell Committee for all their help in making this event happen.
