Shaving my 10 year long dreads off for Cancer Research UK
The people have spoken. They want my dreads gone and my head bald.
But if I do this, it will be for a cause that has deeply affected me over the past few years.
I want to do my part in ending the dread of cancer - that's why I'm shaving my head for Cancer Research UK.
Whether it be lost friends and family, personal suffering, or anxiety about preventing the disease, it's a heavy burden on the world that no one should have to face.
This year, in particular, close friends and family have succumbed to various forms of cancer.
It's made me want to try to make a difference in ending it, no matter how small.
Enough so that I've decided to put my beloved dreads at stake to raise money for the charity driving to end cancer.
If I hit my target, I will hold a physical and live-stream event at which my 10 years of hair growth will fall to the floor.
I shall be bald. But it's all for a good reason.
Please donate generously to the cause that affects so many of us.
Let's end the dread.
