Endoscopic transnasal transsphenoidal surgery

Hey it’s me Batya, as many of you know I have had a plethora of issues from a pituitary tumor for a number of years now. Just to name a few, my prolactin levels have been very high, my cortisol is very high and my ACTH is very high. With the removal of this tumor I would have my hormone levels back to normal and rid my diagnosis of Cushings Disease.. which is caused by my pituitary tumor.

In recent months it has taken a major toll on my daily life, being unable to work and just do basic daily tasks. Insurance doesn’t cover this procedure because in order for them to, the tumor would have to be twice the size and causing blindness. The success rate for surgery at that point drops significantly, and will almost indefinitely require another down the road.

This surgery is my only option. We are not ones to ask for help, we just cannot afford $800+ a month on top of our monthly expenses. With this surgery I would be able to get my life back and be able to work!

I’m fundraising to get this surgery to better my quality of life and not be dependent on $800+ monthly medications that I simply cannot afford.
