#EndSARS Fundraiser
Donation protected
The Oxford ACS are raising funds to support the protestors against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Nigeria. SARS have been robbing, extorting, raping, brutalising and killing Nigerian youths for years and the government are exacerbating the conflict by deploying the same corrupt enforcement to resist the peaceful protests against them. Money is needed for medical supplies, medical bills, release from detainment and post-detainment therapy. The Nigerian youth need our attention and support now - black lives don’t only matter in the western world.
UPDATE: The purpose of our fundraiser has not changed, however the recipient of the donations has. The feminist coalition have stopped taking donations, as a result we will be splitting the donations equally between Medsaf, who are providing medical support to protestors, and Mentally Aware Nigeria, who are working with #EndSARSMentalHealthSupport. To do this, the Vice President (Effie) will withdraw the funds and transfer all donations via online bank transfer. Thank you for your dedication to the cause and your patience with the fundraiser.
