Help Historic Church Rise from the Ashes

At 1:29 pm, on January 25th, 2024, the unthinkable happened. One of the most iconic churches in America, after 174 years, collapsed in New London, Connecticut. The historic steeple would fall gracefully into the sanctuary that once held its parishioners.

Miraculously no one was hurt.

This news sent shockwaves across New England and the nation. Almost every major news outlet across America was talking about it. It even made international headlines.

Just like that, Connecticut’s history and New London’s landscape was forever changed. Engaging Heaven Church was forever changed.

And immediately…

The Church rallied.

The City united.

Out of the ashes we began to rise.

We believed - believed God is with us, believed this isn’t the end, believed our greatest days are ahead.

The next morning, amidst all the destruction, we extended our hands to the less fortunate in our city. The Salvation Army graciously opened their kitchen to our daily Breakfast Program, enabling us to continue serving hot meals to the poor in our community. For many, this meal is the only meal they will have for the day.

Hope has a name - Jesus.

What started on our property in the 1600’s with the Revivals of the Great Awakening is still burning strong in our hearts today.

We believe in Jesus’ power to restore.

Although the building lays in ruins, the Church is strong.

And we need your help.

As you can imagine, the costs of the crisis response teams, the demolition, the cleanup, and rebuilding are immense. After learning our insurance had coverages, it ultimately did not have what we needed for the structure.

That won’t stop us.

God is our Provider, and this Church—dedicated to serving the community, feeding the homeless daily, housing an incredible congregation of believers, hosting conferences with international speakers, witnessing miracles, experiencing the presence of God, and displaying the power of God—will once again resume!

We are asking for your help. We need your help!

We need the finances to cover the disaster, to clear the rubble, and of course, we need the finances to construct another Church building. We believe as you sow into the land of the Great Awakening that same Revival Fire will also fall in your city!

Every financial gift, whether large or small, is significant to us and to Heaven.
