Engine Repair for my Matrix

Okay, so I know that picture on this page is very silly looking, but that's because a photo was required to set everything up.

That being said... hi. My name is Brett, and I run a YouTube Channel under the Stage Name, GoldenFox. I produce videos critiquing episodes of My Little Pony; both Friendship is Magic and the latest generation of the franchise. Outside of my YouTube channel, I go places. I work at a supermarket to pay bills and keep a roof over our heads. And during a chunk of the year, I drive my girlfriend, CosmicKeyframe, to the airport for business trips to various international conventions to sell products. So long story short, traveling plays a huge role in our careers.

Recently, my car has encountered an engine blow that will cost me a fortune to fix. And in the meantime, I have to work with a rental vehicle to go places, like work, grocery shopping and another possible business trip in the future. Right now, the future is unclear, and it is... quite a problem to think about.

So let's rewind the clocks to early August this year and how I got into this mess. I was saving up to replace the tires and get an oil change. But in the middle of doing so, some financial problems happened. So I couldn't maintain the priorities on my car for a while. On the 22nd of August, we had to rush someplace as fast as we could. Unfortunately, this would lead to the very predicament that I'm in now. As I was driving as fast as I could on the freeway, the car began to make strange raddling noises. The noise got louder and louder, and the next thing I knew, I dropped from driving 80 miles per hour... to 40 miles per hour. Not a second to spare, I pulled over and saw that smoke was coming out of the hood. At this point, along with failing to get an oil change, I exerted the gas pedal, thus destroying the engine. After a few hundred bucks that my friends pitched in via PayPal, I got it towed to a nearby repair shop and an SUV to rent.

So the next step was to set a donation goal on Twitch to get as much help from my viewers. I explained the details, and some donations were coming underway. However, due to poor communications with the repair shop and vehicle rent, I had to pay another few hundred dollars with any donated money instead of paying for the engine. And when proceeding with any donation help, I was getting nothing afterward. So a GoFundMe was the next option, and I hope this helps. Anything I do in return, I'm entirely open to suggestions. Chrissy and I want to be out of this situation, and I could use your help.

The donated money will primarily be for repair to my car engine. And on the secondary, any tax charges and rental fees for my current vehicle. Anything beyond that will cover any other expenses I can't think of now. Either that or help someone else.
