Engineer Dereje Hirpha's Funeral Fund

Dearest friends and family members,

It is with a heavy heart that we let you know that Engineer Dereje Hirpha passed away, due to a sudden accident.

Engineer Dereje Hirpha was a young promising Oromo scholar who was a lecturer of Civil Engineering at Wollega University in Oromia, Ethiopia. He immigrated to the United States two years ago and shortly after his arrival, Eng. Dereje took an exam to earn a Professional Engineer License and passed successfully. Subsequently, he started working in a civil engineering field in the state of Minnesota up until his unexpected death.

The sudden death of Eng. Dereje is a devastating loss to his family, friends, colleagues and to our community at large. Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during this time. Know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate this heartbreaking moment. We kindly ask, if you can, to donate funds towards the funeral service, as we hope to take his body back home to his parents for funeral to carry out Eng.
