England U20 Women's Lacrosse Team

Calling all supporters of England U20 lacrosse!

The England U20 Women’s team - the current UK and European U21 Champions and ranked 4th in the world – are off to the World Championships in Hong Kong in August 2024!

This fundraiser is to help them with the cost of this World Cup year.

Our goal is to find 1,000 people to give £10 each to help us reach our target - If some give more, we get there more quickly!

This is an expensive year and lacrosse in England is a self-funded sport. All costs for training, travel, accommodation, and staff have to be met by the families of the final 22 players selected.

This is part of our year-long fundraising efforts. We are selling merchandise and running training camps in schools up and down the country – over 950 pairs of ‘Lacrosse’ monikered pyjamas have gone to good homes and more than 280 aspiring girls aged 10 to 15 have been coached by the elite England U20 athletes in whose footsteps we hope they will one day follow. Fundraising AND inspiring the next generation of international lacrosse players.

This squad of highly talented players are all full-time school or university students, balancing the demands of elite sport with their studies and fundraising in this busy and expensive year.

The U20 squad have a rigorous training and playing schedule, including a selection tour to Florida in February, to challenge themselves against the best in the world. All funds raised will contribute to the costs of travel and accommodation in Hong Kong.

Schools and universities represented in the squad are St Catherine's Bramley, Putney High, Berkhamsted, Queen Anne's, Guildford High, Haberdashers Girls' Schools and King's College, Wimbledon, as well as Nottingham, Durham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Leeds, and Liverpool Universities.
